Trip(s) to NC Safe House & Donations

Several Maryville Evangelical Church members have had the pleasure of making several trips over the mountains to North Carolina to assist with improving the surroundings provided locally for women, and their children, who need a comfortable place to reside in refuge.

Among the work performed has been painting, repairing and staining decks, decorating some of the residential areas, installing hardwood flooring, and converting a bathroom into a walk-in closet.

The women making the journey eastward have been a blessing to those whose hearts are healing through their work and their fellowship with the residents and staff.  The presence of men touched by the grace of God has been a comfort to the women as well.  Children making the trip can add to an encouraging atmosphere.

Join others as they make the next trip eastward (currently planned for June 20th).  Donations can also be made.  In addition to bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels, and wall hangings, gifts of money are also needed for the Safe House so the team can purchase supplies and equipment to do the work.  If you would like to make a money gift, please use a separate check made out o the church, and put "Safe Hose" on the memo line.  Or place cash in the offering plate in an envelope marked "Safe House" and placed in the offering plate.

Pray... Go... Give!  -These are three ways you can be a aprt of this ministry to battered women and their children.
